Nacelle Report

May 2024

Hi Folks,

We certainly had a very busy March with 6 breakfast runs which included The Lord Whisky Tea Rooms Rhodes Minnis, Tulley's Farm Turners Hill, Nikki D's Lydd, Ripley's Garden Centre Bethersden, Jo's Cafe Brookland, The Orchard Tea Rooms Hartfield. All runs were very well attended especially The Orchard Tea Rooms with 21 of us on the run. Thank you Derek and John for leading some of them and as always Mick for tail ending.

It was a full house in The Electric Palace Cinema in Hastings Old Town for our annual film afternoon. We watched The Great Escaper with Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson, which incidentally was filmed in and around Hastings. Needed your hanky at times but a very enjoyable film. Big thank you to the catering girls Mandy, Ros and Sue for the fabulous Buffett.

We had two meals out at The Star Normans Bay, first on Friday 8th and then we returned for 99p steak night on Tuesday 26th. Thank you Rod for organising.
